Introduction

 

Do you  often find yourself watching or reading the news and after hearing about a story you think of all the creepy or eerie details that go into that story?

Because I do. And I am almost sure, if you're reading this, you do too. 

My name is Kristen. I am a 23 year old who lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. If you love true crime, like me, you may already know that Jeffrey Dahmer, the famous serial killer and sex offender killed 17 young boys, was from Milwaukee! Crazy, I know.

I wanted to make a blog based on creepy true crime stories, missing persons stories, and unsolved mysteries. Some may be short and pretty mild but others might be long and gruesome. There will be something for everyone. For those who may be triggered by some stories, I will put a  "Viewer discretion is advised" statement at the beginning of those stories. 

So, if you would like to take this journey with me and learn more about true crime and mysteries, I ask you to keep reading. Find the stories that make you think and wonder; the stories that make you want to help others and make a difference; the stories that are close to your heart.

Jayme Closs

For my first story, I wanted to pick something close to home for me. Today I will be telling you the story about the kidnapping of Jayme Closs.  Jayme Closs was an only child who lived with her Mother, Denise Closs, and her Father, James Closs. This small family lived in northern Wisconsin in a town called Barron. Jayme was only 13 at the time. On the night of October 15th, 2018, Jake Patterson, 20 at the time, had broken into the Closs home in the middle of the night.   This was not the first time he was at their house though. Later during the trial, Jake admits to visiting the Closs house two other times before committing the murder. At the time, Jake worked at a cheese factory in Almena, Wisconsin.
